Do Not Rely on How You Feel Alone
Some people may not notice an obvious change early in a low-oxygen situation, so feeling well is not enough to rule out a concern. Likewise, one reading from a consumer wearable cannot diagnose low blood oxygen on its own.
Review Three Kinds of Information
| Information | What to review |
|---|---|
| Continuing trend | Whether readings repeatedly differ from your usual pattern under similar conditions. |
| Symptoms | Breathing difficulty, chest pain, dizziness, bluish skin or lips, unusual fatigue, or confusion. |
| Personal context | Altitude, recovery from infection, and known heart or lung conditions or sleep-breathing concerns. |
What to Do When a Reading Looks Unusual
Recheck while resting, still, and wearing the device correctly, then review the day and week trends in Yuelu. Do not try to improve a reading by holding your breath, over-breathing, or exercising beyond your ability.
Contact a qualified clinician when unusual readings recur or happen with symptoms. Severe or rapidly worsening breathing difficulty, chest pain, bluish lips or face, or confusion are emergencies; use local emergency services immediately.
