Adult sleep-duration consensus

The adult sleep-duration reference used to add context to an overnight recovery trend.

Última atualização2026-08-28

For healthy adults, the AASM and SRS consensus recommends regularly sleeping at least 7 hours per night. This population-level recommendation helps explain why a short sleep interval may lower a readiness signal, but it is not a target that overrides your own history or clinical context.

Yuelu therefore compares sleep duration with your personal baseline whenever enough records are available. A single night should be read alongside the rest of the trend and how you feel.

Interpretation note

The reference supports a wellness interpretation of sleep duration. It cannot determine whether an individual has a sleep disorder or needs treatment.
